World AIDS Day was observed at the school and organised by the Science Teachers of the school Miss Tsering Tsamchoe and Miss Tsering Dolma (School health worker being on long leave).
There were presentation by two students of Class IX, Master Tenzin Chokden and Tenzin Deaden which was followed by a short video on HIV Infection during the morning assembly. An ‘On the spot essay and drawing contest’ was also held before lunch. After lunch, a tug-o-war between the ladies staff and the girls was held followed by a basket ball match between the gents staff and the boys. The last event of the day was a cleanliness drive inside and outside the school campus.
The winners of the ‘On the spot Essay and Drawing contest’ were given award on 3rd December. We thank (NCA) Norwegian Church Aid for helping us with the fund through the Department of Health, CTA and for making it possible.
